Job summary

Marine Travelift is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers and equipment at sites in the US and internationally. The role involves hands-on installation, training, inspections, and maintenance of heavy lifting equipment, with extensive travel (75%+).

You will diagnose issues from schematics, perform safety‑critical tasks at heights, and ensure excellent customer service while protecting equipment warranties.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining industrial equipment with hydraulic and electrical aptitude.
• Able to troubleshoot using analysis, evaluation and diagnosis techniques.
• Experience in heavy lifting and rigging.
• Able to work at heights safely over 50 feet.
• Travel domestically and internationally at least 75%.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Erect equipment at customer sites and train users on usage and upkeep.
• Conduct field inspections and provide feedback to customers.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports and parts lists.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on machines in service at customer sites.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Field Service Technician – Position Summary

Marine Travelift Florida is adding a full‑time field service technician to our team. The role will involve providing services to domestic Marine Travelift & Shuttlelift customers and equipment. The technician will work 40‑60 hours/week and travel at least 75% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

• Erect new equipment at customer sites and provide customer training on equipment usage and proper maintenance.
• Conduct field inspections on equipment previously purchased and provide feedback to the customer.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports and parts list from inspections to the CustomerCare team.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks on machines currently in service at customer sites.
• Complete all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

Qualification Requirements

• Have experience in maintaining industrial equipment with strong hydraulic and electrical aptitude (Parker IQAN a plus).
• Effectively troubleshoot issues using proper analysis, evaluation, and diagnosis techniques.
• Have experience in heavy lifting and rigging.
• Must be able to work at heights safely in excess of 50 feet.
• Understand technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Be able to travel domestically & internationally at least 75% of the time.
• Have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
