Job summary

L.N. Curtis & sons is seeking a Service Technician to service and maintain emergency responder equipment across Lewis, Thurston, Pierce, King, and Chelan counties.

The role involves installing, inspecting, repairing breathing apparatus, hydraulic extrication gear, and compressor systems, with regular travel and customer interactions. Candidates should read mechanical/electrical schematics, have a high school diploma, and be comfortable using MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematic diagrams.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical theory.
• Mechanically inclined and technically competent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Capable of safely lifting and operating equipment weighing 75lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in sales or marketing related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide our fire department customers the highest levels of customer care.
• Clean, service and repair intricate breathing apparatus and compressor systems.
• Service and repair hydraulic extrication equipment.
• Schedule appointments; meet with customers in order to review customer needs, product and service requirements, and to determine other opportunities for a successful relationship.
• Effectively plan and conduct presentations by meeting customers face-to-face on a regular basis.
• Design and implement professional demonstrations or presentations of company products and services.
• Execute information exchange with customers on products and services with objective of assisting customers with their requirements.
• Generate and develop new opportunities for sale of our products and services.
• Enhance up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools.
• Travel away from home consistently and for extended periods.
• Successfully maintain long work hours.
• Maintain an excellent driving record that meets requirements of our insurance provider.
• Perform general administrative duties, including the timely preparation and submission of monthly expense and mileage reports, as well as other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
