Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to obtain DoD SECRET clearance.
• Drug screen, physical, and background check required.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime.
• Passport required for overseas assignments.

Responsibilities

• Terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable assemblies.
• Install and remove blown optical fiber systems.
• Perform splicing and support tasks on shipboard fiber optic networks.
• Read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Operate optical test equipment and document results per requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Work in shipboard environments including confined spaces and heights.
