Job summary

Source Engineering in Lynden, WA is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to assemble, install, service, troubleshoot, and repair custom manufacturing equipment. The role blends shop fabrication with hands-on field service at customer facilities in the local area.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, experience with fabrication and machining equipment, and can work independently while upholding Source Engineering's safety and quality standards on job sites.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of related experience in fabrication, industrial equipment, machining, or field service or equivalent technical training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience operating mills and lathes.
• Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assemble standard and custom manufacturing equipment using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer facilities.
• Safely operate service vehicles and truck-mounted cranes.
• Collaborate with customers and internal team members to ensure successful project completion.
• Maintain Source Engineering's safety and quality standards both in the shop and in the field.
