Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a Field Service Technician in Charleston, SC to service and install electronic equipment including security POS and EV charging stations. The role involves 24/7 on-call rotation and up to 30–40% travel overnight.

The position requires mechanical aptitude, safety focus, and experience with POS systems. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with strong problem-solving abilities and independence valued.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• One+ year experience in an electrical capacity preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and be a strong problem-solver.
• Willingness to travel up to 30-40% overnight and follow safety protocols.
• Experience with POS systems (Verifone/NCR) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, inspects and repairs cash registers, coin changers, security equipment and POS devices.
• Manage EV charger testing requirements and generate performance reports.
• Locate system issues and fix ground faults.
• Complete service requests and maintenance in a timely, professional manner.
• Review work orders and drawings to perform maintenance of equipment.
• Utilize testing devices and tools related to the job.
