Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Services and Systems division is seeking a Field Service Representative in the Jackson, MS area. The role involves installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical switchgear systems at diverse sites with up to 25% travel.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED (5+ years if no diploma) and a valid US driver’s license. A company vehicle, laptop, phone, and PPE are provided as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in electrical or mechanical industry, or completion of accredited trade school with 5+ years experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems.
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: Engineering degree and related licenses/certifications such as Electrical or General Contractor’s License, PE, NICET/NETA.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical switchgear systems at industrial, commercial, and critical infrastructure sites.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers on assigned projects.
• Perform complex engineering tasks including equipment design, testing, or material/process studies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, and Protection & Control Design.
• Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.
