Job summary

SJE is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the Primex brand from our Plymouth, MN location. This hands-on, customer-facing role combines electrical troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and field service, with travel about 80%–90% and overnight stays as needed.

You will test panels before shipment, assist start-up, service existing systems, read electrical schematics, and communicate clearly with engineers, contractors, and end-users to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Electronic Technology, Electrical Construction, Automation or related field.
• 3–5 years of field service experience preferred.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Test control panels and systems before shipment to verify operation.
• Assist start-up and commissioning of new projects in the field.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and modify electrical and control systems in the field.
