Field Service Technician - East (Kathabar)

About The Job

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician with expertise in controls and automation to join our team. This customer-facing role involves solving problems and building relationships through installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, automated systems, and control panels. Willingness to travel extensively within the U.S. and internationally is required. This is a fully remote position with a preference for candidates residing in the Eastern U.S. region.

Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical control systems including PLCs, sensors, and actuators.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and repair services.
  • Interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Train and advise customers on best practices.
  • Document all service activities accurately.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and communication.
  • Travel 75%-85% to customer sites across the US and internationally.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree in electrical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or automation fields.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals.
  • HVAC certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and HMI software preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and enter confined spaces.
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, standing, and walking.
