Job summary

Rueter's Equipment in Grand Junction, IA, seeks an experienced Field Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic to service and repair gas and diesel engines, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and keep equipment operating at peak performance.

The role mixes shop-based repairs with occasional travel to customer sites. You must have seven years of Case IH or equivalent repair experience, own tools, a valid driver's license, and strong troubleshooting skills; CDL a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of Case IH (CIH) or equivalent repair training and experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Must possess your own tools.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform shop-based repairs and maintenance on equipment.
• Occasionally travel to customer locations to service equipment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Grand Junction. In this role, you will perform major mechanical work on gas and diesel engines, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and ensure our equipment operates at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform shop-based repairs and maintenance on equipment.
• Occasionally travel to customer locations to service equipment.
• Accurately diagnose equipment problems and recommend effective repairs.

Work Environment:

This position operates in both a shop and field environment, with exposure to varied weather and uneven surfaces. Employees are regularly required to communicate with team members, stand, walk, use their hands, and lift at least 25 pounds routinely.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.
