Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet across locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment to keep jobs running smoothly in a safety-focused environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license, with CDL possible in some locations. Bilingual abilities may be required based on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on equipment to avoid downtime.
• Repair a variety of makes, models and equipment in challenging locations.
• Work with a safety-focused team to develop skills toward service or operations management.
