Job summary

KDC Construction is hiring a Service Technician in San Jose, CA to handle repair and maintenance work orders across various sites. You will perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and drywall tasks with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

The role requires a flexible schedule, a high school diploma, hands-on handyman experience, and a valid driver’s license. You will travel between worksites and maintain equipment and vehicle inventories while ensuring accurate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General trade or Handyman experience across basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring and drywall.
• Must possess vehicle and tools to perform job functions.
• Ability to interact with a diverse customer roster.
• Demonstrates cost/benefit awareness and practical problem solving.
• Detail oriented with analytical thinking and initiative.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently.
• Deliver a positive customer experience and follow company policies.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have or obtain a valid state driver’s license; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Services work orders at various customer locations.
• Performs minor equipment and building repairs as requested.
• Responds to Priority 1 emergency safety concerns for employees or customers.
• Updates daily on-site times, visits, and schedule changes.
• Documents daily activity, photographs site conditions, and answers management inquiries.
• Assists updating store-level facility records with completed paperwork.
• Maintains company vehicle and parts inventory.
• Inspects and troubleshoots systems to identify repairs.
• Travels to different worksites to complete tasks and projects.
• Works safely adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental Program.
• Other duties as assigned.
