Dearing Compressor & Pump Co. in Youngstown, OH, is seeking a field service technician who travels to customer sites to perform certified startup, package commissioning, repair, and overhaul of packaged equipment at customer locations as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–5+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship in heavy equipment repair.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write work orders and detailed work summaries.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, employees, and trade associations.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
• Periodic lifting requirements over 50 lbs; ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, climb ladders and stairs; and stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Clear background check and driver’s license required.
• Drug-free lifestyle.

Responsabilités

• Performs preventive and corrective field mechanical service.
• Independently diagnose, repair, and rebuild compressors, gas engines, and electric motors.
• Overhaul compressors and understand wiring and electrical systems.
• Read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical issues.
• Submit accurate maintenance, expense reports, and timesheets daily.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, customers, and subcontractors.
