Dearing Compressor & Pump Co. seeks a field service technician to travel to customer sites for certified startup, package commissioning, maintenance, and repairs on various packaged equipment. You will perform mechanical overhauls, diagnostics, and rebuilds as needed.

The role involves reading schematics, diagnosing controls, and documenting work with detailed reports. A valid license, background check, and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1–5+ years of related experience or equivalent
• One year of vocational/technical training or apprenticeship in a related field preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specs, safety rules, and manuals
• Ability to write work orders and detailed job summaries
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, and employees
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and apply basic math to tasks

Responsabilités

• Performs preventive and corrective field mechanical service
• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild compressors, gas engines, and related equipment
• Overhaul compressors and electrical systems, read schematics
• Assist in installation, alignment, and commissioning of new packages
• Submit accurate maintenance and expense reports daily
• Work with Field Service Engineers, customers, and subcontractors
• Adhere to PPE and safety regulations and company policies
• Mentor less-experienced team members
