Job summary

Dearing Compressor offers field service and maintenance work, traveling to customer sites to start up, commission, reassemble, repair, and overhaul packaged equipment and products. You will work as part of a team to diagnose and fix compressors and gas engines, with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires reading schematics, performing mechanical and electrical work, and coordinating with customers and technicians. A background check and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-5+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience repairing heavy equipment, compressors, and gas engines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, safety rules, and manuals.
• Must have clear background check and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective field mechanical service.
• Independently diagnose, repair, and rebuild compressors, gas engines, and electric motors.
• Overhaul compressors and understand wiring and electrical systems.
• Read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical issues.
• Submit accurate maintenance and expense reports daily.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, customers, and subcontractors.
