Job summary

ProSearch RecruitingPartners, a leading recruiter for automation OEMs, is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and service of CNC machinery and automation systems. The role requires 90-100% travel and residence within 50 miles of a major airport.

The technician will support sales, install equipment, document service activities, and uphold high safety and customer satisfaction standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service or installation work
• Ability to travel 90-100% to customer sites
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Support sales by servicing equipment at customer sites
• Install and commission new equipment at customer locations
• Provide service solutions and troubleshoot on-site
• Document service performed and outline future needs
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
• Demonstrate company software capabilities to customers
• Prepare timesheets, service reports and installation forms
• Track expenses and submit expense reports promptly
• Maintain OSHA/MIOSHA compliant safety practices
• Coordinate with other departments as needed
• Work overtime as required by workload
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

$30.00-$45.00/hour

The Field Service Engineer will be a key team member direct hire for a leading manufacturer of laser cutting and turning machinery. The Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites for commissioning, integration, and to provide problem solving solutions.

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for

• Support ing the sales staff in servicing company equipment
• Install ing new equipment at customer sites
• P roviding solutions for service of equipment for customers at the customer site
• Carefully and accurately document ing all service performed on the equipment as well as what service needs are to be accomplished on the equipment in the future
• Maintain ing excellent customer service and customer satisfaction
• Demonstrat ing applicable company software capabilities to the customer
• Prepar ing timesheets, service reports and installation forms, timely and accurately
• Accurately track ing expenses and complet ing expense reports in a timely manner
• Maintain ing a safe work environment and operate within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines
• Communicat ing with other departments as necessary
• Ability to work overtime as required by workload and customer necessity
• Other duties as assigned by management

The Field Service Technician will excel with:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Able to effectively use the Internet
• Ability to understand and use I/O structure for technical trouble shooting purposes
• Ability to effectively utilize electric/electronic test/measurement equipment
• Must be able to effectively understand, analyze, and resolve technical mechanical or electrical issues based on measured data results
• Proficient in reading and comprehending technical information as presented in equipment manuals or in electronic media
• Ability to accurately document technical data in terms of the steps taken to resolve equipment and product issues
• Ability to communicate technical issues as well as the steps taken to resolve those issues with the company corporate office
• Proven customer service skills with a primary focus on customer relationships
• Highly organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Resourceful; able to discern who to call for assistance based on the technical situation at hand
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Effective team player who can work with all levels of team members as well as with all different types and levels of customers
