Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems in heavy-duty diesel, heavy equipment, automotive, industrial maintenance, millwright, HVAC, electrical, hydraulics, controls, or similar field experience.
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble equipment.
• Ability to systematically troubleshoot a problem, isolate the root cause, and determine an appropriate repair.
• Comfort using electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
• Ability to work independently in the field and make sound technical decisions with limited supervision.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with engineering and service teams.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on the Vector system and SMARTFuel technology and the related components.
• Perform on-site system installations and related fuel system work.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to customers and escalate when needed.
• Prepare for each job with the right tools, parts, and documentation.
• Follow drawings, schematics, and docs to diagnose and fix issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to guide service partners.
• Verify system repairs after project completion.
• Document ticket logs accurately for each job.
• Share novel solutions with the team to prevent repeat work.
• Represent Optimus professionally in customer environments.
• Plan travel and schedules to meet customer commitments.
• Assist with Vector system assembly and manufacturing tasks.
