Job Overview

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Lab Team at CAL-CERT, an Accredited Labs Company.

As a Calibration Technician – Field Service you will work out of our Boise, Idaho office to calibrate various equipment at customer sites. Responsibilities include performing routine and complex calibrations, adhering to ISO 17025, maintaining records, and communicating with clients.

Location

On‑site and field‑based, operating out of our Boise, ID office. Company will pay travel to customer locations across Idaho and throughout the US as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations both in the shop and at customer sites.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025.
  • Carry out routine and complex calibrations on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation.
  • Engage with clients throughout the calibration process and provide status updates.
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
  • Travel to customer locations across Idaho and throughout the US as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience with electrical, physical, and/or mechanical calibration of equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field service travel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Quick learner of mechanical and technical skills.
  • Customer‑oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, punctuality, respect, and honesty.
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of metrology principles, procedures, methods, and techniques gained through education or professional experience.
  • Experience with manufacturer’s quality systems.
  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field.
  • Technical degree or certificate.
  • Military PMEL training.
  • Experience with IndySoft.
