Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the operation and maintenance of blending facilities. This role involves working closely with customer personnel, ensuring efficient operations, and performing routine maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and electrical systems, along with hands-on mechanical experience. Qualifications

  • 0-2 years for Level C, 2-4 years for Level B, 4+ years for Level A in midstream operations.

Field Service Technician - Butane Blending

Position Overview

This role involves supporting the operation and maintenance of blending facilities, working closely with customer personnel, and supporting mechanical operations and maintenance activities within a designated geographical area.

Responsibilities
  1. Support efficient operation and maintenance of blending facilities.
  2. Develop relationships with general contractors for repair and maintenance support.
  3. Support mechanical operations and resolve malfunctions promptly.
  4. Perform routine scheduled maintenance.
  5. Work on a modified shift schedule with periodic on-call duties.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Strong instrument and electrical background.
  • Experience in quality assurance and in the refined products industry.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, instrumentation, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Self-directed, safety-conscious, with experience working with hydrocarbons.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days.
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
Experience Requirements
  • Level C: 0-2 years; Level B: 2-4 years; Level A: 4+ years relevant experience in midstream operations or equivalent.
Working Conditions
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent driving, walking, and standing.
  • Exposure to weather, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and loud machinery.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
