Job summary

Door Services Corporation is seeking an Automatic Door Service Technician to travel across our Houston coverage area, performing maintenance and repairs on automatic doors and related equipment.

In this field-service role you will diagnose issues, read safety manuals, complete work orders, and maintain exceptional customer relationships while adhering to OSHA standards and company safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical and electrical skills required; troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver’s license; AAADM certification (ANSI 156.10 & 156.19) within six months of hire.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures; write basic reports; communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on door equipment including automatic doors, entrance doors, handles and closers.
• Diagnose faulty equipment and identify causes of malfunctions.
• Coordinate with dispatch and other departments.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and use of equipment.
• Complete work orders on computer-based documents.
• Interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Travel throughout the coverage area and drive safely between sites.
• Support safety programs and maintain safe practices on site and in warehouse.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
