Job description

Position Overview

We are hiring a 1st shift on‑site field service technician in Atlanta, GA. Hours: Wednesday‑Sunday from 8AM‑5PM. The technician will provide preventative and emergency maintenance to Entrust equipment at customer sites, ensuring devices are operational and delivering our services.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality preventative and emergency maintenance on Entrust equipment, including mechanical embossers, thermal imaging & laminating systems, magstripe & chip data writers, UV curing.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using test equipment (voltmeter, laptop) and repair manuals.
• Calibrate sensors, data read/write devices, and application pressure; evaluate/replace parts such as servo & stepper motors, spindles, clutches, belts, bearings.
• Adjust temperature, proximity, and position sensors; make software & hardware adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory via the ERP platform and follow service activity reporting procedures.
• Respond to service calls via dispatch system and drive to customer sites daily.
• Interact with customer operations staff, demonstrating reliable, positive customer‑relations skills and independence.
• Assist less experienced personnel with repair challenges.
• Participate in company training and development programs.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years electromechanical technician experience.
  • Proficient problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient with PCs, current operating systems, and relevant software applications.
  • Willingness to drive to multiple customer sites daily.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours/shifts, assignments, and travel as required, including off‑site short‑term assignments.
  • Willingness to be on‑call.
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs and spend majority of shift sitting, bending, stooping, walking.
  • Valid and active driver’s license; insurability if applicable.
  • Overtime required as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Electronics or related field or verifiable training.
  • Additional electromechanical technician or field service experience.
  • Advanced technical education.
  • Proficiency in electro‑mechanics, digital electronics, and software needed to maintain Entrust and third‑party products.
  • Skilled with tools and electronic test equipment.

Compensation

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $22.68–$35.65 per hour (primary posting location). Compensation is determined by geographic location, education, skills and experience. The position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
