Job summary

TRU LAND Equipment is seeking an Advanced Service Technician to perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on John Deere agricultural and turf equipment. The role includes field service, training participation, and mentoring apprentices.

You will operate tools and maintain equipment, adhere to safety rules, and complete reports promptly. A high school diploma is required, with 3+ years of repair experience and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs; meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Ability to perform repairs using manuals with limited rework or dissatisfaction.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of off-road/construction equipment.
• Ability to operate vehicles/tools for diagnostics.
• Experience with Service ADVISOR or similar diagnostic tools preferred.
• Team-oriented, communicates effectively, and holds a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere agricultural equipment and technology; may service competitive equipment.
• Diagnose and repair customer equipment in the field.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment needed for duties.
• Participate in John Deere University and dealer training to develop skills.
• Maintain knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Mentor Apprentices and students as requested.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and timely completion of reports.
