Job summary

Shearex Equipment Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, and service shrink-wrap equipment directly at customer sites across the United States.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and train customer operators on safe equipment use. Expect 90% travel and nationwide coverage, with strong emphasis on independent problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and passport; US travel.
• Experience in field service and on-site troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, electricity, and hydraulics.
• Ability to lift equipment and work in customer shops.
• Functional English required.
• Vocational/technical diploma in mechanics, electromechanics, electricity, or related field.
• Experience with industrial equipment and shrink-wrap/packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

Are you a field technician who loves solving problems on-site and making a real difference directly at the customer's location? Are you comfortable with mechanics, electricity, and hydraulics, and ready to travel across the United States?

Shearex, a division of GRYB International, designs and manufactures shrink-wrap equipment for the wood and lumber industry. We are looking for a Field Service Technician to perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our equipment directly at customer sites across the United States.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Install, commission, and calibrate equipment at customer sites
• Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting
• Diagnose failures and carry out on-site repairs
• Train customer operators on safe equipment use
• Document service work (service reports, parts used, time)
• Collaborate with the technical team and customer service
• Travel across the United States as business needs require

YOUR TERRITORY

Nationwide coverage — United States, primarily the South (Georgia, Florida, Mississippi) | Travel: 90% on the road

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

Preferred

• Valid driver's license and valid passport (travel within the U.S.)
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot on-site
• Basic knowledge of industrial mechanics, electricity, and hydraulics
• Ability to lift equipment and work in a plant/customer shop environment
• Functional English required
• Vocational/technical diploma in mechanics, electromechanics, electricity, or related field
• Experience in field service
• French an asset
• Experience with industrial or shrink-wrap/packaging equipment

Compensation Based on Experience

SALARY : To be determinated
