Job summary

NYNE Mechanical, a division of NECI, seeks a Field Service Technician to lead field repairs and testing of valves, actuators, and automation systems at client sites and in the shop. You will document the process with photos and reports, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure work meets ASME Code and NBIC standards.

Candidates have a mechanical degree or equivalent hands-on experience, are willing to travel up to 50% overnight, and can work off-hours.

• Experience: Mechanical-related degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Travel: Ability to frequently travel to client sites including up to 50% overnight travel.
• Flexibility: Ability to work off-hours, weekends, and overtime when needed.
• Team Player: Collaborative, positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft 365 and other business applications.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate warehouse equipment, and work in physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Tool & Equipment Management: Identify and maintain the tools and equipment needed for operations. Suggest improvements for safety and efficiency.
• Valve Repair & Maintenance: Disassemble, clean, and repair valves, documenting the entire process with photos and detailed reports. Perform cause analysis and determine the best repair approach.
• Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized work environment, following 5S principles and safety regulations.
• Documentation: Accurately complete all required reports, from work orders to safety checks, in real time.

In this position, you'll work on a variety of equipment, including safety pressure relief valves, actuators, and automation systems, ensuring top-quality repairs in the field and shop.

The starting pay for this position will be between $20 and $36 per hour, depending on experience.
