CraneWorks is seeking a Field Service Technician in San Marcos, CA to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of crane equipment. The role requires mechanical experience with electrical and hydraulic systems and occasional travel for 1–4 day intervals.
A CDL is preferred, with opportunities to work 40–80 hours weekly depending on demand. Responsibilities include operating cranes for diagnostics, reading manuals and drawings, and ensuring safety and OEM specifications are met.

Job Summary:This position will inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on various crane equipment including mobile cranes (All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler Cranes, Boom Trucks, knuckle booms, bucket trucks, etc.). Mechanical experience required with electrical and hydraulics. It is part of this role’s responsibility to help grow the business by identifying new opportunities and contributing to the development of customer relationships and market presence. The candidate should ensure they have read and understand the scope, job functions, and physical requirements needed for this role.
Candidates will be required to take a skill assessment as part of the interview/hiring process.
History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex, Palfinger, IMT, Cormach, National, Demag, Manitex, etc.
