Job summary

Jobtailor in Texas is seeking a entry-level lift truck technician to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and other makes. You will perform planned maintenance on customer lift trucks and maintain your service van and inventory.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, legal work authorization, and strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes. Familiarity with hydraulics, electrical/electronic systems, schematics, and service manuals is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and internal combustion engines.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Familiarity with hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and testing equipment.
• Ability to read service manuals and plan work.
• Lift truck repair experience or related training preferred.

Requirements

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no current or future work-authorization sponsorship
• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills
• Familiarity with common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and testing equipment
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, testing equipment knowledge, and industry-related training preferred
