Job summary

Qnergy in Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Qnergy systems including Instrument Air products and remote power generation equipment. The role provides on-site and remote technical support, system assembly, testing, documentation, and customer training.

You will communicate field issues to cross-functional teams, lead training sessions, and travel to customer sites throughout Texas, with on-call hours and some non-standard schedules.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in engineering or related field preferred.
• Safety certifications (First Aid, Safety) advantageous.
• 1+ year of field experience preferred.

Job Summary

The Field Service Technician installs, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains Qnergy systems. These include Instrument Air products and remote power generation equipment. The technician provides on-site and remote technical support. This role also supports system assembly, testing, documentation, and customer training. The technician communicates field issues and helps cross-functional teams develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive customer experience at customer sites throughout Texas.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Qnergy’s Instrument Air products and remote power generation.
• Provide remote field support and perform system and component testing.
• Write product and process documentation, and lead training sessions.
• Communicate manufacturing and engineering issues discovered in the field.
• Work with a cross-functional team to find solutions.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Technical Diploma in an engineering discipline (i.e., Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, etc.) preferred.
• Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Safety) are advantageous.
• 1+ year of field experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of and hands-on experience implementing safe practices.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and other documents.
• Exceptional mechanical skills and experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent record-keeping.
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and disciplined.
• Ability to lead and direct customer training.
• Must be organized and able to multitask in a changing environment without supervision.
• Must have a professional presence, both online and in-person.
• Must speak and hear clearly, both in-person and by telephone.

Work Environment

• Will be part of an on-call rotation requiring availability during non-standard hours.
• Extensive travel on short notice for extended time periods, including weekends and holidays.
• Outdoor exposure to varying PA weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and arid conditions.
• Work may be performed in areas where noise levels are elevated.
• Regularly required to perform a wide variety of physical tasks. May require lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Regular use of computers is required.
• Requires being present in the office or at the job site.
