Job summary

Sagent is seeking a Field Service Technician to service commercial equipment across an assigned regional territory. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment in grocery, deli, retail environments, often working independently and home nightly.

The role offers hands-on problem solving, training, and company support. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, with opportunities for overtime and career growth within a growing field service organization.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience installing, repairing, maintaining, or troubleshooting equipment.
• Experience with electromechanical systems, electronics, instrumentation, equipment repair, IT hardware, or a related technical field.
• Ability to learn new equipment, technology, and diagnostic tools.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Reliable transportation and residence within the assigned service territory.

Responsibilities

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Sagent is growing our Field Service team and looking for mechanically and technically skilled professionals who enjoy troubleshooting, solving problems, and working independently in the field.

As a Field Service Technician, you'll support customers throughout an assigned regional territory, servicing commercial equipment including scales, slicers, ovens, wrapping systems, packaging equipment, and related technology commonly used in grocery, deli, retail, and similar environments.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with plenty of independence — backed by training, experienced technicians, and technical support when you need it. Most service is performed within your assigned region, and technicians are typically home nightly.

What To Expect In The Field

Daily driving is an important part of this position, with travel throughout an assigned regional territory. Technicians are typically home nightly, although customer and business needs may occasionally require overtime, participation in an on-call rotation, overnight travel, or temporary support of another service region.

This is an active, hands-on position performed in a variety of customer environments. Technicians must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of field service work, with or without reasonable accommodation, and meet applicable safety, licensing, certification, and pre-employment screening requirements.
