Job Headquarters and reporting to the main office in Downingtown, PA
Job Description:
The person we are looking for will need to be able to perform tasks associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, facility & equipment decontamination, above-ground and underground tank cleaning activities, and confined space entry projects.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures that Health and Safety policies and processes are followed, as well as acting safely at all times.
- Operate light equipment, including but not limited to pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers, skid loaders, and hand power tools.
- Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
- Working in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment.
- Working at elevations, including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts.
Work Environment:
- Works in a typically loud environment, requiring protective equipment such as work boots, safety glasses, and reflective vests.
- Must be able to withstand hot, cold, and wet weather conditions.
- Working at high elevations, such as off ladders, scaffolding, and powered lifts. Will be required to work in confined spaces.
Physical Demands:
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position is full-time. Work hours will generally be day shift, with some evenings and weekends.
Travel:
Some travel is expected as part of this position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Confined space entry certification.
- Minimum 6+ months of experience.
