Job summary

Laborde Products is seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair marine and industrial diesel engines and equipment. You will perform field service at customer sites, maintain tools and your service vehicle, and support customers with technical expertise.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of professional diesel technician experience, strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional diesel technician experience.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Major engine repair experience.
• Engine rebuild experience is highly valued.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• Professional and dependable.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Marine diesel experience is a plus, but not required.

What You'll Do

You'll diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair marine and industrial diesel engines and equipment.

Your Work Will Include

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing diesel engine problems
• Performing maintenance, repairs, and major engine work
• Completing engine rebuilds based on experience
• Reading service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
• Performing field service and supporting customers
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and your assigned service vehicle

You'll have the opportunity to work independently, solve challenging problems, and tackle a variety of repairs rather than doing the same job every day.
