Job summary

Ascentek is seeking a maintenance technician in Orland Park, IL to diagnose and repair state-of-the-art vehicle wash equipment at customer sites. You will participate in installation and ensure proper operation, safety, and reliability of all tools and systems.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to travel to customer locations, and a demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience servicing vehicle wash equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic analysis and repairs on vehicle wash equipment.
• Assist in the installation of new vehicle wash equipment as necessary.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of parts on company-provided vehicle.
• Maintain tools and test equipment in a professional manner.
• Observe internal processes, policies, and procedures governing service delivery.
• Consult with customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.

• Perform diagnostic analysis and repairs on state-of-the‑art vehicle wash equipment.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Experience and/or Training:

• Experience servicing Vehicle Wash equipment
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) compute devices
• Experience with electrical circuits, both low & high voltage
• Proficient with Microsoft Office | Smartsheet | Service Pro

Licenses/Certificates:

• Valid Driver’s License

Technology/Equipment:

• Familiarity utilizing Mobile Phones and Tablets

Physical, Mental and Working Environment Demands:

• Work is performed at various customer locations while servicing and installing equipment
• Working conditions, environments, and potential hazards will vary depending on the customer site
• Must be able to adapt to changing work environments and safely perform duties in a variety of settings
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to perform the mental and physical requirements necessary to successfully carry out the essential functions of the position

The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $27 and $40 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
