Job summary

Nuvera Communications, a Minnesota broadband provider based in New Ulm, seeks a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain voice, video, and internet services for residential and business customers. You will work on-call and in the field, representing Nuvera in one-on-one customer interactions.

You will locate underground cables, install and service underground and aerial lines, and splice copper and fiber optic connections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Electronic experience, basic wiring and construction experience.
• Power Limited Technician License (can be obtained after hire)
• We will train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and repair of communication services for residential and business customers, including on-call duties.
• Locating underground fiber optic and copper cables.
• Installation/service of underground and aerial cables, conduit, poles, and cable guide wires.
• Splicing of and installation of copper and fiber optic cable connection joint housing.
• Represent the company in one-on-one relationships with the customers.
