About the role
CSI is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites (50%–70%) to install, commission, and service control panels and automation systems.
- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, wiring, and panel integration.
- Conduct system troubleshooting—both hardware and software—on‑site and remotely.
- Modify and troubleshoot basic Allen‑Bradley PLC programs as needed.
- Work directly with customers to identify and resolve system issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Document service activities, system updates, and field modifications accurately.
- Maintain a professional attitude and communication with customers and team members.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in panel building, electrical systems, or industrial automation.
- Proficiency with electrical schematics, control wiring, and panel layout.
- Basic experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs (RSLogix / Studio 5000) for programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills—hardware and software.
- Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate effectively with others.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%–70% (domestic and/or international).
- Valid driver’s license, eligible to obtain passport, and ability to meet travel requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with HMI programming (FactoryTalk, PanelView, etc.).
- Familiarity with VFDs, motion control, and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
- OSHA or electrical safety training.
- Experience in system commissioning or field service environments.
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts.
