G&W Equipment, Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician to service forklifts and material handling equipment in customer facilities around the Charleston, SC area.

The role requires strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safe, reliable repairs that keep customer operations running smoothly. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment across electric, LPG, diesel, and gas fleets, while maintaining accurate service

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment
• Experience working with multiple brands of forklifts
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment (electric, LPG, diesel, and gas)
• Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and emergency repairs
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and equipment status
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a professional manner
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
