Job summary

Frontmatec is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team in Kansas City, MO. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, and mechanical systems in a food processing environment, delivering timely maintenance and service to customers.

As the primary ambassador of Frontmatec, you will read schematics, complete service orders, and collaborate with sales and engineering to ensure high-quality performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency/unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment at customer facilities.
• Assist installation & commissioning of new equipment as well as upgrades on existing installations.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical and pneumatic schematics to perform maintenance and service.
• Execute service and maintenance orders/jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide accurate and detailed data in comprehensive reports after completion of installation and/or service jobs.
• Comply with all company and client health and safety programs.
• Participate actively in the development of customer relations.
• Effectively communicate with customers, sales teams and partners to ensure needs are understood and met.
• Provide feedback to After Sales Teams regarding customer needs to secure global implementation.
• Complete weekly expenses and hours report.
• Support and work with Engineering on the development of new products.
• Support and work with Engineering, Production, and QA to ensure product quality.
• Participate in development of training programs when needed.
• Self-managed, responsible for booking travel and accommodations.

We are currently looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team in Kansas City, MO.

The incumbent will always be an Ambassador of Frontmatec while providing technical service expertise to internal and external customers. The Field Service Technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled equipment, conveyor systems, and mechanical machines in a food processing environment.

Key Responsibilities
