Job summary

Clayton Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission industrial equipment at customer facilities across the Southwest Houston region.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, hands-on technical experience, and the ability to travel. You will interpret schematics, perform startups, and document service activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, military, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing industrial equipment.
• Manufacturing, industrial, energy, oil & gas, or related industry experience preferred.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment in both shop and field environments.
• Perform startup, installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service documentation.
• Complete service reports and project documentation.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams.
• Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with customer safety requirements and company policies.
• Travel to customer locations as needed to support service operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and commissioning industrial equipment at customer facilities throughout the region.

Field Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment in both shop and field environments
• Perform startup, installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities
