Job summary

Tiara Yachts, a premier boat manufacturer based in Holland, Michigan, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to repair and service boats in the field and at production facilities. This role requires extensive travel and strong communication with dealers and customers; you will operate field service vehicles, uphold safety standards, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of operating the field service vehicle.
• Thorough knowledge of boat repair including fiberglass, mechanical and electrical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication with customers and dealers.

Responsibilities

• Repair boats in the field or at production facilities as directed.
• Act as liaison between company and dealer/customer.
• Care for equipment and maintain field service vehicle; report deficiencies.
• Control travel expenses.

• Report on the cost of repairs and other projects.
• Collaborate with staff to promote team problem solving.
• Conduct training sessions with dealers’ service personnel.
• Operate Tiara Yachts safely and competently.

Position Summary

Responsible for repairing and servicing boats in the field and at production facilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Repair boats in the field or at production facilities as directed
• Act as liaison between company and dealer/customer
• Properly care for company equipment, ensuring the field service vehicle and all field service equipment is well maintained; report all deficiencies in equipment and oversee their repair as directed
• Control travel expenses
• Keep a positive and professional attitude when working under adverse and difficult situations
• Report on the cost of repairs and other projects
• Work with other staff to promote a team approach to problem solving
• Conduct training sessions with dealers’ service personnel
• Operate, navigate and handle all Tiara Yachts in a safe and competent manner
• Other duties as directed by the Sr. Manager of Dealer & Service Support

QualificationsEducation & Job Requirements

• Must be capable of operating the field service vehicle, have a current operator’s license, and travel extensively on airlines
• Must have a thorough knowledge of all phases of boat repair, including fiberglass, mechanical and electrical skills
• Must be able to communicate well in written and oral communications with customers, dealers and Tiara Yachts employees.
• Must present and conduct oneself on a professional level with a positive attitude

• Able to follow manufacturing instructions and understand processes
• Must practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated per area (safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, etc.)
• Must follow company safety guidelines
• Must be fluent in the English language; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
