Job summary

Tiara Yachts, a premier boat manufacturer based in Holland, Michigan, seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to repair and service boats in the field and at production facilities. This role supports the high craftsmanship Tiara Yachts is known for across the USA, with extensive travel required.

You will liaison between Tiara Yachts, dealers and customers; maintain field equipment and vehicle; control travel expenses; train dealers’ service personnel and promote a team‑oriented problem

Qualifications

• Must operate the field service vehicle and hold a current driver's license.
• Extensive travel by air required.
• Solid knowledge of fiberglass, mechanical and electrical boat repair.
• Excellent written and oral communication with customers and dealers.
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Repair boats in the field or at production facilities as directed.
• Serve as liaison between company and dealer/customer.
• Maintain field service equipment and vehicle; report deficiencies.
• Control travel expenses.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude under adverse conditions.
• Report on repair costs and other projects.
• Collaborate with staff to solve problems.
• Conduct training sessions with dealers’ service personnel.
• Operate Tiara Yachts safely and competently.
• Perform other duties as directed by Sr. Manager.

Position Summary

Responsible for repairing and servicing boats in the field and at production facilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Repair boats in the field or at production facilities as directed
• Act as liaison between company and dealer/customer
• Properly care for company equipment, ensuring the field service vehicle and all field service equipment is well maintained; report all deficiencies in equipment and oversee their repair as directed
• Control travel expenses
• Keep a positive and professional attitude when working under adverse and difficult situations
• Report on the cost of repairs and other projects
• Work with other staff to promote a team approach to problem solving
• Conduct training sessions with dealers’ service personnel
• Operate, navigate and handle all Tiara Yachts in a safe and competent manner
• Other duties as directed by the Sr. Manager of Dealer & Service Support

QualificationsEducation & Job Requirements

• Must be capable of operating the field service vehicle, have a current operator’s license, and travel extensively on airlines
• Must have a thorough knowledge of all phases of boat repair, including fiberglass, mechanical and electrical skills
• Must be able to communicate well in written and oral communications with customers, dealers and Tiara Yachts employees.
• Must present and conduct oneself on a professional level with a positive attitude
