Qualifications

Job description

This is a hands-on field position suited for a technician with a strong electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical background who enjoys working directly with customers and complex equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience servicing generators, power generation equipment, CHP/cogeneration systems, microgrids, gas engines, or other industrial energy systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power generation equipment.
• Install, start up, commission, and test new equipment and systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify equipment problems.
• Communicate directly with customers to understand issues and provide technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Technical training, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, or industrial technology.
• Experience working with power generation, generators, industrial equipment, CHP, microgrids, or similar systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
