Job summary

Ralliant is seeking Field Service Technicians to deliver world-class service for our instrumentation solutions across the Western region. This 100% travel, field-based role requires being in California, with performance of on-site service at customer locations and limited administrative work from home.

You will manage your schedule autonomously as the primary technical resource, support territory growth, and operate a company service truck.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate degree or technical degree preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Prior field-based or travel-intensive experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel) and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
  • Independent work style with problem-solving, urgency, and attention to detail.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements for operating and inspecting company vehicles.
  • Ability to safely tow, back up, maneuver, and service trailers.
  • Willingness to travel 100% across the Western region, with frequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field calibration, troubleshooting, and repair services at customer locations.
  • Operate within an assigned territory to identify and capture sales leads for growth.
  • Build customer loyalty and expand business relationships in the territory.
  • Document and report all service work, including billing and expenses.
  • Maintain a company service truck and equipment in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure DOT compliance in all aspects of vehicle operation and inspection.

Looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a growing industry?

Field Service Technicians deliver world‑class service to a growing portfolio of customers, supporting Anderson Negele's industry‑leading instrumentation solutions.

This is a 100% travel, field‑based role with the ideal candidate located in California. Work is performed full time at customer locations throughout the Western region, with Technicians on the road five days a week and frequent overnight travel. Technicians may also travel to other regions across the United States on occasion to support business needs. Time working from home is limited to administrative tasks.

This is a highly autonomous position where you will independently manage your schedule, serve as the primary technical resource for customers, and contribute directly to territory growth and profitability. The role includes use of a company service truck. Prior field service or travel‑intensive experience is strongly preferred.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Perform field calibration, troubleshooting, and repair services on all Anderson Negele products at customer locations.
  • Operate profitably within an assigned territory, identifying and capturing sales leads in support of aggressive growth objectives.
  • Build customer loyalty and expand business relationships within the territory.
  • Accurately document and report all service work performed, including billing and expense reports.
  • Maintain a company service truck and equipment in full compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations related to operating, maintaining, and inspecting a company service truck.
  • Safely haul, back up, maneuver, and service equipment trailers in a variety of customer, industrial, and field environments.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you.
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma required; associate degree or two‑year technical degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Prior field‑based experience in a travel‑intensive role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel) and the ability to learn additional systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong problem‑solving skills, a sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet all DOT requirements, including those related to operating and inspecting company vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely tow, back, maneuver, and service trailers in customer and field locations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time throughout the Western region, including frequent overnight travel, with occasional travel to other regions in the U.S. as business needs arise.
  • The associate must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 80 pounds.
