Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician to support Rainin's On-Site program across a defined region. You will calibrate Rainin and other brands of pipettes, assist with mechanical and electronic measurements, and ensure conformance to specifications.

You'll work with a small team, travel up to 30% (overnight up to 25%), and complete service and expense reports while maintaining equipment and parts inventory. Driving a strong customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Experience with pipettes preferred.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Good mechanical aptitude to disassemble/reassemble precision instruments.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support Rainin's On-Site service program at customer sites.
• Calibrate Rainin and other pipettes and record inspections.
• Assist with on-site repairs and servicing.
• Complete service and expense reports and manage equipment inventory.
• Travel up to 30% of time, with up to 25% overnight.
• Collaborate with Field Service Technician and Area Service Leader.
• Maintain professional representation of Rainin.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for direct support of Rainin's On-Site service program. The Field Service Technician works at customer sites within a defined geographic region, calibrating Rainin and other brands of pipettes. Assisting with mechanical and electronic measuring, recording, and inspection on pipettes serviced to ensure conformance to established specifications. The responsibilities include the following:

• Working alongside a Field Service Technician, helping them to perform their daily duties.
• Following daily service visits schedule through careful coordination with their Area Service Leader.
• While on site at customer facilities, assisting the Field Service Tech to provide pipette repair and calibration services.
• Representing Rainin to customer in a professional and positive manner.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.
• Completes service reports and expense reports and is responsible for maintaining service equipment and parts inventory.
• When available, assists in Service Center production activities as assigned by the Area Service Leader
• Travel out of local area of up to 30% of the time required to support the business, including overnight travel up to 25% of the time.

What You Need to Succeed

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Driving License - Must have a good driving Record
• Previous knowledge or work experience with pipettes preferred.
• Must have strong interpersonal and verbal (English) communication skills.
• Must have good written communication skills
• Must have good mechanical aptitude and the ability to disassemble and reassemble small precision mechanical instruments.
• Strong organizational skills to successfully develop and schedule, process, and complete multiple tasks.
• Must have good computer skills, including use of email and common Microsoft Office programs.
