Job summary

Mettler Toledo Llc is seeking a Field Service Technician to support Rainin's On-Site service program, performing calibration and repair of pipettes at customer sites within a defined region.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driving license, and strong English communication. Travel up to 30% with potential overnight stays, and opportunities to assist in service center production.

• Strong interpersonal and verbal (English) communication skills.

• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to disassemble/reassemble small precision instruments.
• Strong organizational skills to develop/schedule/complete multiple tasks.
• Good computer skills, including email and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support Rainin's On-Site service program at customer sites in defined geographic region.
• Assist with mechanical and electronic measuring, recording, and inspection on serviced pipettes.
• Collaborate with Field Service Technician and Area Service Leader to follow service visits schedule.
• Provide pipette repair and calibration services on site.
• Represent Rainin professionally to customers.
• Complete service and expense reports and maintain service equipment and parts inventory.
• Assist in Service Center production activities when available.
• Travel up to 30% of time, including overnight stays up to 25%.

Job description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for direct support of Rainin's On-Site service program. The Field Service Technician works at customer sites within a defined geographic region, calibrating Rainin and other brands of pipettes. Assisting with mechanical and electronic measuring, recording, and inspection on pipettes serviced to ensure conformance to established specifications. The responsibilities include the following:

• Working alongside a Field Service Technician, helping them to perform their daily duties.
• Following daily service visits schedule through careful coordination with their Area Service Leader.
• While on site at customer facilities, assisting the Field Service Tech to provide pipette repair and calibration services.
• Representing Rainin to customer in a professional and positive manner.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.
• Completes service reports and expense reports and is responsible for maintaining service equipment and parts inventory.
• When available, assists in Service Center production activities as assigned by the Area Service Leader
• Travel out of local area of up to 30% of the time required to support the business, including overnight travel up to 25% of the time.
• Other duties may be assigned

What You Need to Succeed
