Job description

Job Overview

  • Maintain and repair Komatsu underground equipment
  • Perform timely and effective repairs of machine components in the field

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect equipment for proper performance, identify faults and malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace parts and systems according to scope of work
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Commission new equipment
  • Provide customer training as needed
  • Accurately complete time records, technical reports, failure reports, etc.
  • Stay updated with industry, customer, product developments, and technical best practices
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations and satisfaction
  • Work safely, following all safety policies and procedures
  • Complete necessary paperwork and access databases to ensure accurate and timely job completion
  • Follow contamination control and HAZMAT regulations
  • Remove, install, disassemble, and assemble parts and components, testing and adjusting assemblies with minimal supervision

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including shift work
  • Certified to operate forklift and/or manlift
  • May need to complete DOT physical
  • Required to complete MSHA certification
  • Possibly required to complete respirator certification
