Job summary

Dayton-area client is seeking a Field Service Technician responsible for wiring machinery, driving conduit, and on-site startup, testing and debugging control panels to meet specifications. This role requires travel up to 50% to customer sites.

You will work on electrical control panel design and wiring, read schematics, troubleshoot PLCs and relay logic, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The position is permanent and on-site in the Dayton area.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics.
• Two years of experience with electrical control panel design, assembly and wiring.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with 240/480V single and 3-phase circuits.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC and relay logic.

Responsibilities

• Wiring machinery and running conduit (rigid and EMT).
• Perform startup, testing and debugging of control panels to meet specs.
• Travel to customer sites up to 50% as required.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with safety and quality standards.

Job description

I have a client located in Dayton, OH area who is looking for a Field Service Technician. If you or any of your colleagues are interested in discussing this opportunity.

In this role you will be responsible for wiring machinery, including running conduit using both rigid and EMT conduit, the start up, testing, and debugging completed control panels to verify that they meet our company and customer specs, driving and flying travel to customer sites as required . This position has a travel requirement of 50%.

This position is a PERMANENT role that is a long term need for my client. This role must be worked ON-SITE.

The pay on this role is $80,000 to $90,000 annually based on experience.

Job Requirements:

• Associate Degree in a relevant Engineering field of study (Electrical, Controls or Mechatronics), or the equivalent in practical application
• Two years of experience with electrical control panel design, assembly and wiring
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings
• Experience with 240/480V single and 3-phase circuits
• Experience with AC and DC control circuits
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC and relay logic
• Ability to build control panels
• Experience in pneumatics, valves, and hydraulics
