About the Role:

The Field Service Technician will support customers via phone, email, and onsite service. Secondary responsibilities include repairing and refurbishing customer equipment in-house or at a customer's facility. Proactive service calls will be scheduled to grow the Eriez business.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all work reflects the company's mission and core values, providing prompt, excellent service to foster long-term customer relationships.
• Assist with start-up, troubleshooting, user training, and repair of Eriez equipment, excluding flotation, at customer locations, over the phone, or via email.
• Prepare detailed service reports and accurate expense statements following Eriez policies.
• Develop spare part proposals based on service calls and local opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, research, and manufacturing to improve products.
• Train personnel in service procedures.
• Operate and maintain the local service vehicle and tools.
• Manage service vehicle inventory.
• Coordinate travel schedules, communicating effectively with customers and team members.
• Assist in repairing customer equipment and prepare evaluation reports as needed.

Requirements:

• Associate degree, trade skill degree, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in assembling, testing, servicing, and repairing industrial electrical equipment.
• Certified welder or willingness to learn welding; experience with welding on Eriez equipment preferred.
• Strong basic math skills and knowledge of algebra and trigonometry.
• Electrical, mechanical, and technical skills for equipment start-up, repairs, troubleshooting, and training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings, including mechanical and electrical details.
• Experience with electronics and electrical schematics, or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Siemens) is a plus.
• Ability to use electronic test equipment for troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or willingness to learn.
• Understanding of electrical codes, mechanical standards, OSHA, and safety practices, or willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and passport required.
• Willingness to travel at least 50%, including air travel, occasional overseas travel, weekends, and evenings; holiday work at premium rates where applicable.

Hourly pay: $26.00 - $32.00, commensurate with experience.
