Job summary

Integra is seeking a Field Service Technician - Controls in Houston, TX, to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial generator systems and control equipment. The role demands hands-on electrical/mechanical expertise, with independent work in diverse field environments to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, load bank testing, and documenting service reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in Electrical Technology, Controls, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in electrical or generator service, controls, or mechanical/electrical field work.
• Knowledge of generator systems, electrical circuits, and control components.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial generator systems and related control equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance verification, including load bank testing, to ensure optimal operation.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and operational issues and determine corrective actions to restore functionality.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and other field personnel to resolve service needs and provide technical support.
• Prepare and maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and documentation of parts, labor, and recommendations.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards in field operations.
• Assist with setting up tools, equipment, and work areas at job sites.
• Provide support during emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Travel to customer sites and adapt to varied environments, including outdoor, industrial, and confined spaces.
