Job summary

Closner Equipment Co. is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on fleet and customer equipment. You will operate in shop and field environments, communicating with customers and using digital reporting tools.

The role requires extensive experience with heavy construction equipment hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems, plus ability to read schematics and travel as needed. High school diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Deep knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Welding or pneumatic experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Operates a company service truck safely and autonomously.
• Meet deadlines established by the Service Manager.
• Perform timely diagnostics and repairs on equipment systems with minimal supervision.
• Communicate work performed verbally and via digital service platforms.
• Request parts using service tools and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a safe workspace and adhere to shop safety standards.
• Develop junior technicians and complete required paperwork timely.
• Attend factory and other training as specified by supervisor.
• Travel within a 150+ mile radius; some overnight stays may be required.
