Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Technician for the Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division in Orlando, FL. You will perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, demonstrate equipment to customers, and assist with pickups and deliveries while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and the ability to work hands-on with electrical components and mechanical systems. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver6 license is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools used in the position.
• Basic electrical knowledge is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment, including checking electrical continuity and wiring faults.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

As a Service Technician at United Rentals supporting our Flooring and Facilities Solutions Division, you will use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

What you'll do:

• Perform maintenance checks on rental flooring equipment before and after use
• Report machine condition to Management
• Perform repairs of rental flooring equipment as needed, including checking electrical continuity, wiring faults and tagging of equipment for rental ready status
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
