A leading field services provider is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide mechanical and electrical support. Job description

Overview: As a Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our client by providing expert mechanical and electrical assistance in the implementation and maintenance of equipment and processes. This position requires frequent travel to customer sites and other facilities to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Develop and nurture strong customer relationships to enhance trust and foster business growth. Travel to customer sites to address needs and optimize processes.

Assist in the installation of new test systems and equipment, ensuring smooth implementation and functionality.

Conduct mechanical and process observations, gather data, communicate findings, and recommend improvements.

Take initiative in identifying and communicating issues for continuous improvement within the company.

Repair, service, adjust, and test various equipment and production systems, including air systems, electrical wiring, and hardware.

Efficiently assemble and disassemble equipment while adhering to safety and maintenance standards.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance task execution and share knowledge for mutual development.

Utilize hand and power tools proficiently while maintaining safety standards.

Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and hoists as required.

Provide after-hours support to customers, addressing issues and coordinating technician schedules when necessary.

Perform all job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Fulfill any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in reading drawings, schematic diagrams, and electrical codes.

Above-average experience in electrical and electronic systems.

Reasonable mechanical expertise in servicing precision machine parts.

Familiarity with computers and software is advantageous.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees and customers.

Demonstrated Competencies:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for precision equipment.

Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs.

Physical agility including walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing, and lifting.

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends.

Possession of a valid, unexpired driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Experience and Education:

Preferably 1 year or more of related industrial electrical mechanical work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience is desirable.

A 2-year vocational school diploma in an electrical mechanical-related field or equivalent is preferred.
