Job summary

Allied Steel Buildings seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to support Field Service with structural analysis, repair details, and field-issue solutions for PEMB and steel structures. You will evaluate field conditions, review calculations, and advise erection crews to protect schedules, costs, and safety.

Travel to project sites is required; PE license is mandatory; SE a plus. Based in Texas preferred, Dallas/Waco vicinity welcomed, bilingual in Spanish a plus, with strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• PE license is required; SE license is a plus.
• Experience in PEMB or related steel structures.
• Strong knowledge of current building codes and seismic design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary structural resource for Field Service during erection, installation, and field construction.
• Evaluate field conditions and develop code-compliant repair details.
• Review and seal engineering calculations and field drawings as needed.
• Respond promptly to RFIs and guide erection crews and project managers.
• Conduct site visits to verify installed work and assess risks.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Detailing, and Fabrication teams to resolve issues.
• Provide guidance on connections, reinforcement, and repair methods for complex structures.
• Document observations and actions per Allied standards.
• Mentor Field Service staff on structural behavior and erection sequencing.
• Stay current with AISC/AISI specs, ASCE 7, IBC, and MBMA.
