US Tech Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and train customer staff while maintaining records and coordinating with peers and customers to minimize downtime.

The role requires 4+ years in equipment maintenance with strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to work independently, excellent communication, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• 4+ years of maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Excellent customer interface skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use appropriate tools.
• Thorough understanding of maintenance, repair and installation of equipment.
• Physical demands including PPE such as safety glasses and safety shoes.

• Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
• Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
• Remain current on equipment/tools through training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
• Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools
• Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both TEA and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s).

Job Description

• Must be experienced with troubleshooting, supporting tool installs, and sustaining.

• Strong Mechanical & Electrical experience

• Must be able to work independently

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must be able to travel to domestic & international (Japan) for training and business support (30%)

Experience

• 4+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment

Qualifications

• Excellent customer interface skills is required

• Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools

• Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required.

• Physical Demands and Work Conditions: A clean room garment may be required to be worn for lengthy periods of time. PPE is Required including, not limited to, consistent wearing of safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap

Education

• Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred.
